Avoid Fat to Prevent Diabetes

Obesity is a major health problem. Irregular eating patterns accompanied by lack of sleep increases the risk of poor health.

Dr. Monica Goel said, "The doctors are concerned about living an unhealthy trend that is increasing to make people more at risk of obesity. This negative impact caused an increase in incidence of insulin resistance and diabetes. This is a complex syndrome of insulin resistance, hyperglycemia, dyslipidemia, and inflammation. There also increased risk of hypertension that trigger cholesterol and triglycerides, which causes coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease, arthritis, osteoporosis, pulmonary disorders such as sleep apnea. "

Quoted by the Times of India (06/11/2011), Dr Monica Goel gave way to prevent obesity, a healthy eating habit:

1. Fat should not exceed 30 percent of total calories and saturated fat should be less than 7 percent.
2. As many as 55-60 percent of calories should come from carbohydrates, 30 to 40 grams of fiber recommended per day.
3. Turning to wheat flour instead of white flour.
4. Bring packed lunch from home to the workplace.
5. Avoid processed foods with trans fatty acids and preservatives.
6. Reduce consumption of red meat.
7. Make a fruit snack for children.
8. Reduce intake of alcohol and soda.

For exercise:
1. Exercise regularly and get enough sunlight.
2. Create a positive mental attitude.
